The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 633

Grandma Jill shoved Rachel to the floor and started hitting her, fists and feet flying.

“Please, stop! It hurts… just stop!” Rachel cried, desperate for mercy.

“That’s enough,” Moss said, his voice even. “Take her away.”

A few men in black suits came in and pulled Rachel up, dragging her out of the room.

Grandma Jill dropped to her knees beside Peter, clutching him and sobbing. “Peter… oh, Peter… Why is this happening? Why!”

The Irvine family was busy making arrangements for Peter’s funeral. Jessa couldn’t calm down. She was on edge, scared out of her mind that Rachel would say something. Rachel was still in Moss’ hands, and that made Jessa even more anxious.

She went looking for Moss and found him in his study, talking quietly with his butler.

Jessa slipped behind the door to listen, holding her breath.

“Did Rachel admit to anything?” Moss asked in a low voice.

“She hasn’t said a word, sir. She’s stubborn. But her fingerprints are all over the knife. The murder charge will stick,” the butler replied.

The butler glanced at Moss. “Is there something else you want to know?”

Moss pressed his lips together, thinking. “I’m not even sure what I’m looking for. I just have this gut feeling Rachel’s hiding something. And whatever it is, it’s got something to do with Jessa.”

“With Miss Wade?” The butler sounded surprised.

Moss got up and walked to the window, tall and slim, staring out at the sky. “Don’t you think Jessa’s behavior is weird? I don’t have to spell it out. She poisoned herself, I’m sure of it. She wanted to frame Ella.”

The butler nodded. “Sir, I’ve been with you for years. I always thought Miss Wade was a bit rude. I’ve met Ms. Irvine a few times. She’s smart, and she’s honest.”
