Save Her Lose Us (Evangeline and Soren) novel Chapter 435

Flora then raised her voice, deliberately taunting Soren. “And to top it off, the one person Poppy trusts most, her fiancé and Soren, is completely blind. I feel so sorry for her.”

Soren was silent.

For once, he didn’t argue with her. After a few seconds of silence, he said, “Spend more time with her lately. And take her for another prenatal check-up when you have the chance.”

“She’s your future wife, and you’re asking me to go with her? You’ve got some nerve,” Flora teased, but she still agreed.

After all, Soren was still recovering from his injuries. And she knew Soren’s personality well enough. He had likely just had a fight with Poppy over Evangeline and was too proud to see her right away. He needed some time to clear his head. As his sister, of course she would help.

After leaving the hospital, Flora went straight to the villa where Poppy was staying.

When Poppy heard from Flora that Soren was still concerned about her baby, her tense expression softened. In truth, she had expected Flora to go to the hospital and confront Soren. And just as she’d predicted, Flora reported every detail of Soren’s reaction back to her.

Soren still cared about her. Even if it was only because of the child in her belly, it was enough. The anxiety that had been weighing on Poppy’s heart finally began to lift.

But she didn’t let her relief show. Instead, she lowered her gaze and gave a bitter little smile. “I was afraid he’d hate me so much he’d ask me to give up this child.”

“How dare he?” Flora quickly comforted her. “Poppy, don’t worry. Soren is just under some kind of spell right now, but deep down, he still cares about you and the baby. Besides, this child is a Fawkes. Even if Soren acts irrationally, my parents would never agree to you getting rid of it. The Fawkes family is on your side. And I only acknowledge you as my sister-in-law.”
