Just as Barry was throwing his tantrum, Nina didn’t linger at the door like Amelia.

She slipped out of Amelia’s arms and ran straight into the ward.

She ran over and threw her arms around Barry.

Barry froze completely when Nina suddenly hugged him.

He stared blankly for a few seconds before realizing what was happening.

She’d just say they were hers and refuse to share.

Only when she got bored with a toy would she let anyone else touch it.

Seeing her give her toys to Barry now, Amelia could tell she knew he wasn’t doing well.

The two kids sat on the carpet in front of the sofa and played with the toys together.

With Nina by his side, Barry grew visibly happier.

The two of them giggled nonstop.

Watching Barry so cheerful, Lily’s eyes immediately teared up.

She wiped her eyes quickly and forced a smile at Amelia. “Amelia, thank you for bringing Nina over. Barry hasn’t been this happy in ages.

“He’s had so many checkups lately. His body hurts, and he’s been so miserable.

“Nathan and I have no clue how to soothe him anymore.”

Lily had always been strong-willed, but with Barry ill, she couldn’t keep up her tough act.
