I Walked Away And He Lost His Mind (Zephyra and Steven) novel Chapter 748

Steven had been engrossed in his work, but he suddenly looked up, a questioning glint in his eyes.

"Are there any special application techniques required?"

Steven asked this matter-of-factly, his expression unchanged.

That jerk had truly forgotten we were divorced.

"No need, I can handle it myself," I replied coldly.

But Tess chimed in, "Ma'am, you don't need to be shy. Just let Mr. Lancaster help you. There are some spots you really can't see on your own."

Before she even finished, she had already turned to Steven, saying with a smile, "It's best to massage it in well when you apply it."

Steven picked up the stretch mark oil, glanced at it, and replied, "Alright, I understand."

Tess left with a smile, leaving me frozen in place. How could the two of them decide this so easily? I was the main character here, shouldn't they have asked me first?

I shot Steven a glare and picked up my phone, ready to head upstairs. Just then, it rang. It was a voice call request from Mrs. Spencer.

Without thinking, I answered. Mrs. Spencer's voice sounded weary. "Zephyra, can we meet?"

My heart tightened. I agreed to her request and we arranged to meet at a nearby coffee shop.

After I hung up, Steven's expression darkened slightly. "You're going out?"

"Yes," I replied coolly.

His expression was unreadable. "With whom?"

It sounded like he was checking up on me. I frowned. "Who I meet with is none of your business."

With that, I turned to go upstairs and change. Suddenly, my wrist was grabbed, and Steven pulled me back onto the sofa. His voice was tinged with anger.

"Of course it's my business. You're pregnant; you need to be careful about everything."

"Being so secretive... it's not Horace, is it!" His words were laced with suspicion.

Before I could react, he snatched my phone. On the screen, the contact name "Edith" was clearly visible.
