Go Back and I Rule There novel Chapter 80

“Rosalind!”

From a distance, Mrs. Yates Sr.’s cheerful voice cut off whatever Rosalind was about to say next.

“Have Galeno bring some more water for Mrs. Zade and the others to soak their feet.”

Rosalind casually dropped her hand and smiled. “Alright.”

She decided to let the matter of Galeno’s teeth go for now. It wasn’t urgent. As long as he had enough medicinal herbs, nothing would be revealed…

That night, the aroma of cooking filled the alley.

It was clear that the old woman was happier today than she had been in a long time.

She wore her reading glasses, her hands moving over her neighbors’ shoulders as she performed massages with focused care. Whenever a patient said they felt better, she would smile along with them.

Rosalind watched her, raising an eyebrow. After Mrs. Zade and the others had left, she helped her grandmother up and spoke. “Grandma, let’s seriously reopen and run Veritas Medical.”

At her words, Mrs. Yates Sr.’s expression froze. “Rosalind, why the sudden suggestion?”

“Is it sudden?” Rosalind said casually. “Grandma, my college placement exams are coming up. I need some practical experience and a financial cushion. Otherwise, I’ll be looked down on when I get to the big city.”

Galeno’s big eyes widened, as if to say, You, looked down on?

Rosalind shot him a sideways glance. “Galeno, the savory buns are ready. Go eat.”

“Hmph!” Galeno pouted, his sharp teeth sinking into a bun.

Mrs. Yates Sr. thought for a moment. “The exams are certainly important.”

“So, if you see patients and I watch, that would be the best way for me to learn. Besides,” Rosalind gestured toward Galeno, “Galeno has a big appetite. If we don’t earn more money, we won’t be able to afford him.”

Galeno, still chewing, twitched his ears in agthe Gonzalezreement.
