"Mr. Bright, I've been waiting for you for so long..." Sean reached out, trying to make a connection.
A bodyguard immediately blocked him. "Mr. Bright has important business. Commercial meetings can be discussed tomorrow."
"It's not a commercial meeting!" Sean struggled, trying to push forward. "It's a personal matter, personal!"
His voice was hoarse from yelling, and his suit was disheveled. He looked utterly pathetic.
The bodyguard hesitated.
Fitch's voice came from behind. "Who's blocking the way? Move them."
If anyone delayed him from finding his boss, who would take responsibility?
Seeing that force wasn't working, Sean resorted to shouting. "Mr. Bright, why did Homp Group cut off its partnership with the Yates Group? There was no warning at all! What am I supposed to do with all the steel I've stocked up on?"
The bodyguard, not wanting to hear him yell, simply covered his mouth and moved him aside.
The staff at The Guild of Pax saw Sean's desperate state and wanted no part of it.
In the business world, partnerships formed one day and broke the next. It was common.
For Sean to shout about it like this was truly embarrassing.
As Fitch's assistant, Yves still had to handle him. "Mr. Yates, please stop shouting. Mr. Bright does not have time to see you on this trip."
"Yves!" Sean finally saw a familiar face. "I've been trying to contact you. Didn't you say I would be the one to host Mr. Bright when he arrived? Why are you acting like you don't know me now?"
Yves was cold. "Mr. Yates, I was never familiar with you to begin with. I was merely relaying instructions from above."
If Mr. Woods hadn't ordered them to support the Yates family, would a small company like theirs ever get a piece of the group's business?
And yet, they never did a proper job.
The quality of their submissions was poor, not to mention the construction projects they handled for him.
Yves never understood why Mr. Woods was so lenient with the Yates Group.
Online, Rosalind was preparing to end her stream.
This time, Mrs. Yates Sr. gave the sign-off. "Yes, we have to get busy now. We still need to see patients in person. Any of you kids with health questions can come find Grandma at Veritas Medical."
[Ruby'sMom: Hearing her say 'kid' makes me miss my grandma too.]
[GetADate: I'm going to watch Grandma every day from now on!]
Mrs. Yates Sr. chuckled. "Alright, alright, you can all come see Grandma in the future. But don't let it interfere with your studies. Tomorrow at 9:30, we'll be live on time. You must all sleep early, wake up early, and get plenty of rest."
Rosalind wasn't surprised that Megan was a hit with the viewers. In this day and age, everyone longed for a bit of warmth.
Her grandma was kind-hearted, upright, and knowledgeable. She just lacked an opportunity for people to get to know her.
Live streaming was definitely the right choice.
Rosalind smiled faintly and pressed the 'end stream' button. But the effect she had created was still growing. This was only the beginning...
