Family on Their Knees Heart Turned to Ice novel Chapter 526

That evening, a handsome young man knocked on the door of Debbie's hotel room.

Debbie, dressed in a robe and swirling a glass of wine, sized up the young man.

The man introduced himself and then gave Debbie a suggestive look.

To his surprise, Debbie fell for it. Finding him rather handsome and likable, she told him to stay.

"Stay."

When the hotel manager came by, he saw Debbie drinking with the young man in her room.

Debbie gave him a warning look.

Worried he wouldn't get the hint, she added, "Starting today, I'll be paying you a separate salary. You're not just working for my daughter-in-law anymore."

The hotel manager had seen plenty of this sort of thing. Unsurprised, he knew exactly what to do and kept his mouth tightly shut, saying nothing.

After the young man entered Debbie's room, she didn't visit the casino for the next two days.

At the market close on Thursday, the situation looked excellent for the Mercer family. They had no intention of adjusting their strategy and were just waiting for Friday to cash out big.

That night, the Lancasters were growing restless.

"The Mercers have gone this far, and their stock price keeps soaring. If this continues, they'll be even more emboldened. What does that make Lillian? We can't just let her be sacrificed for their gain, can we?"

Lillian wasn't concerned in the slightest. She knew Leonard was about to make his move; he would never allow the Mercers to celebrate for long.

She knew him well.

"Stephen, Uncle, please don't worry. We have a plan for this.

As she said this, her eyes darkened.

She gave a cold smile, her gaze fixed on the distance where the Mercer Group building stood.

"The Mercers are such a loving family. They should share the same fate. No one gets to escape."

Stephen repeated, "Share the same fate?"

He felt like he understood the phrase, but not completely.

Did Lillian's words mean she was really going to strike back at the Mercers?

And that she would make every single one of them pay the price?

After a moment of thought, Stephen said, "Good, that's great! It has to be this way. It's about time someone taught them a lesson, so they can't all just walk all over you."
