Family on Their Knees Heart Turned to Ice novel Chapter 513

Lillian woke up to find that she had, yet again, become the target of public criticism online.

She was speechless as she watched the trending topics about her climb higher and higher.

Leonard’s expression was dark as well. He shot Ethan a look, letting him feel the full weight of his displeasure.

Ethan lowered his head innocently, not daring to speak.

Good grief, he thought, I didn’t do this. Why am I getting the death stare?

Besides, he had assumed that after the official police statement, the whole affair was over. He never expected the Mercers to pull another stunt.

Lillian had clearly run out of patience with the Mercer family. Seeing all the drama they were causing, her mood soured.

“Lillian, let me handle this,” Leonard said. “I’m feeling much better these days, and frankly, I’m bored sitting at home. I probably can’t go out with you anyway, so I might as well find something to play with.”

When Leonard said “play,” it meant the Mercer family was in for a world of hurt.

Lillian knew Leonard was fed up with them too.

But that was fine. If he was annoyed, he might as well take care of it.

She nodded. “Alright. I’ll send you all the evidence I’ve saved. You can handle it as you see fit.”

Leonard heard her mention the evidence but not the trap she had long ago set for the Mercers. He didn’t press further.

She probably intended to spring that trap herself.

The Mercer family’s grand enterprise was, after all, something the old matriarch had built with her own two hands. To truly destroy it, Lillian likely had to overcome that emotional hurdle first.
