Family on Their Knees Heart Turned to Ice novel Chapter 505

We weren’t here the first time, so there’s plenty we want to eat and see. There’s a big group of us, so we can take care of ourselves.

We have cars, people, bodyguards, drivers—everything is taken care of.

We arrived on Monday and saw how busy you are every single day. I’ve noticed you look exhausted by the afternoon, running on willpower alone.

If I actually let you take us out, I’d probably get an earful from the elders.”

Lillian smiled. “It’s not that dramatic.”

“I’m serious. We guessed you would offer to take us, but who could have the heart to let you?

Don’t worry, we can handle ourselves. You just get some rest.

Once you’re rested, we can work together again next week.”

Lillian was well aware of her physical state. She could go out, but she was genuinely tired.

Since they had seen through her exhaustion, there was no reason to be coy about it.

They were family, and there would be plenty of time in the future.

“Alright. You all eat well and have fun. If you need anything, just call me, and I’ll arrange it.”

“Sounds good.”

On the first day of her weekend, Lillian slept in, had a meal with Leonard, and lazed on the sofa watching a movie.

Dr. Lawson had already returned to his home country, and Leonard’s health had pretty much fully recovered. There were essentially no lingering issues.

Lillian was overjoyed to see his energy and strength returning day by day.

“By the way, you’ve been cooped up at home for so long. Do you want to get some fresh air? If you feel like going for a walk, I can go with you.”

Leonard shook his head and passed a snack to Lillian. “Just being at home like this with you is better than going anywhere else.”

Leonard had seen the world. In the end, he found that being by Lillian’s side was the most comfortable place to be.
