Sebastian came back to his senses and looked at Brandon. "Uh… it's nothing. I just remembered I have some urgent business at the office I forgot to handle. I was about to turn around and head back."
Brandon was surprised. "Huh?" That didn't seem right.
He had seen Sebastian's car parked at the gate from a distance, and it looked like it had been there for a while.
If he had urgent business, shouldn't he have left already?
Why would he have waited so long?
Brandon watched with a deep, contemplative gaze as Sebastian drove away, still unable to figure out what he had been doing there.
Just as he was thinking, his phone rang.
Seeing it was Sebastian, Brandon answered immediately.
As soon as the call connected, he heard Sebastian instruct, "Don't tell Bella I was here just now."
Brandon, completely bewildered, replied, "Oh… okay."
Sebastian hung up, leaving Brandon even more confused.
Why… why shouldn't he tell Bella?
Brandon was still puzzling over it when he entered the living room and understood everything.
Bella was talking with Martin and Sabrina.
"The Blakes have absolutely no class. I mean, Sebastian personally brought me to meet them, and I bought a ton of expensive gifts. They call themselves a prominent family, but they didn't even finish their meal before they just walked out.
Some prominent family. They have no manners, no courtesy at all."
Bella cried pitifully as she spoke.
Sabrina sighed and asked Martin, "Honey, look at this. What's so wrong with our daughter? Why are they treating her like this? It's too much. I've never laid a hand on her, raised her like a princess, and now she has to endure this kind of humiliation from the Blake family?
