He frowned. “Lillian, are you blaming me? Blaming me for not taking care of Mom and Grandma?”
Lillian gave a faint smile. “Yes. You figured it out?”
Brandon’s face darkened. He was speechless. Yes, he’d figured it out, but her blunt, unapologetic admission was unsettling.
Lillian saw his discomfort but didn’t bother to coddle him.
“You want Mom’s shares, right? Well, besides buying them, there’s another way.”
Another way?
At those words, Brandon’s interest was piqued.
He had no idea what was going on with Sebastian. He’d promised to transfer the money immediately, but it still hadn’t come through. He worried something might have changed.
If there was another option, Brandon was certainly willing to consider it.
“What is it? Lillian, you have another way?”
