Not only had they forced her away, but they had completely broken her heart. That bond could never be repaired.

Marcelo wasn’t the only one drowning in regret. His close friend, Vincent, felt it just as deeply.

Vincent had also stood on Gianna’s side, so he had lost the woman who truly deserved his love forever.

Marcelo could only share the same feelings when he was with Vincent.

Talking to his two clueless younger brothers was pointless. No matter how much he explained, they just couldn’t understand.

Ás Marcelo stormed off, Miguel and Maxwell felt uneasy and ashamed.

After hearing his words and then remembering how worn down and haggard their mother looked, they felt guilty.

Just then, Gianna dragged a small suitcase out of her room. Her eyes were slightly red, her expression full of grievance.

“Miguel, Maxwell, I’m ready. I’ll leave now.”

She pulled her small suitcase along, looking determined, as if she were resolutely leaving for good.

But inside, she was still scheming.

She had only packed a few things, planning to use the excuse of coming back for the rest so she could return again and again.

She deliberately walked toward the door very slowly, waiting for her brothers to soften and stop her.

Sure enough, Miguel called out a few seconds later, “Gianna!”

A smug smile crept onto her lips.

She knew it. There was no way they could really let her go.

But then-

“I know this decision was rushed,” Miguel said. “I’ll have the driver send the rest of your things to you little by little.”

“Yeah. We won’t be accompanying you moving out today. We’ll visit you another time when things settle down,” Maxwell added.

Their mother was already suffering so much. For now, they needed some distance from their half-sister.

“Miguel, Maxwell, I…”

Gianna never expected that kind of response.

She hadn’t even said she needed to bring everything at once. Why were they acting so eager to send her off?

And they weren’t even going with her?

She couldn’t accept it.

“Alright. We know you don’t want to leave, but this is the only option.”

Seeing how firm they were, a flash of resentment passed through Gianna’s eyes.

She had done everything she could to please them, yet they kicked her out without hesitation.

Regina had been right. Men like them would turn on her in a second.

No matter how well she treated them, it meant nothing. Over something so small, they could abandon her so easily.

She had even thought that since they shared the same father, they would treat her even better.

As for Emery being upset? She could suffer as long as she wanted. Time would fix it.

And if it didn’t, she could just disappear.

Now Gianna finally saw it clearly. She had been naive.

As her mother said, it would be better if they all disappeared.

Everything that belonged to the Nygards would be hers sooner or later anyway.

There was no need to keep pleasing those useless men.

When the time came, they shouldn’t blame her for being cruel.

With that thought, a vicious glint flashed through Gianna’s eyes. She turned and left without looking back.

The truth about Gianna being Raymond’s illegitimate daughter, along with his affair with Regina, hadn’t spread outside yet.

The Nygard brothers were careful to keep it quiet and warned Gianna not to say anything for now.

They reassured her, saying, “It’s not that we won’t make it public. We’re just waiting for the right moment.”
