Chapter 502 His Regret

Maxwell was the last one to learn the truth, and he was completely shocked.

He always thought twists like that only happened in TV dramas or movie scripts. He never expected it to hit his own family.

Now, he didn’t even know how to face Gianna anymore.

The sister he had pampered and protected for years suddenly turned out to be his half-sister, sharing the same father.

That feeling was indescribable.-

Normally, if they found out their father had an illegitimate child, they wouldn’t treat her kindly at all.

But they had lived with Gianna for so long that it was impossible to suddenly act cold or distant.

Yet being nice to her felt like betraying their mother.

Being stuck in the middle was unbearable.

If only it were possible, they wished this whole thing were just a cruel joke.

“I don’t want to move out. I don’t want to be separated from you guys. Do you hate me now?”

Gianna’s eyes were red, tears brimming.

Of course, she didn’t want to leave. Before, when Amelia was around, she had only pretended she wanted to move out to make space for her.

That had been an act.

But now that she truly had to go, it felt unbearable.

She had grown used to all the care and attention from her brothers. What if moving out created distance between them?

She even started blaming Regina for exposing everything too soon.

After all, she hadn’t finished using the two brothers to her advantage yet.

“If you’re told to move out, then move out. What’s with all the stalling?

“Back when Amelia was here, weren’t you always saying you wanted to move out for her? Now that it’s really happening, you don’t want to?”

Lying on the couch, Marcelo finally snapped.

The more he thought about it, the faker and more manipulative she seemed. It made him sick.

Especially knowing they shared the same Nygard blood-it disgusted him even more.

“Miguel, Maxwell…” Gianna shrank back like a scared rabbit, her voice barely audible.

She didn’t dare argue with Marcelo. Turning to the other two, she leaned even harder into her pitiful act.

“Hey, Marcelo, you don’t need to be that harsh. Things are already bad enough. Gianna is stuck too.”

“Yeah, she didn’t get to choose how she was born.”

Seeing Marcelo go after her, Miguel and Maxwell still felt some sympathy.

After all, she had been the sister they spoiled for so many years.

“Hah. Don’t forget that banquet she went to with Regina. She lied and called that woman her aunt. She played you both like fools, and you still let it slide?”

Marcelo shot his two stupid brothers a cold look.

Things had already gone this far, and they still hadn’t figured it out.

No wonder she could keep taking advantage of them.

His words made the other two pause.

He wasn’t wrong.

Right. Why had Gianna hidden the truth back then? Why didn’t she explain anything?

Could it be that she knew all along?

“No, that’s not it. I had my reasons…”

Sensing that they were starting to connect the dots, Gianna hurried to change the topic.

“Don’t worry. I’ll move out. I just hope you’ll come see me often.”

With that, she turned and went to her room to pack.

Watching her leave, Miguel and Maxwell felt conflicted.

Miguel frowned and whispered, “Marcelo, maybe we’re thinking too much. Gianna might really have her own difficulties.”

Maxwell nodded. “Yeah. After all these years, she probably wouldn’t lie to us on purpose.”
