Caught Him Cheating My Life Restarted (Natalie) novel Chapter 288

Pfft!

Natalie couldn't help but chuckle. Lucas's smug little expression was just too adorable, and his words had clearly hit a nerve with Darren.

So much for his dramatic display of affection. She really was too sentimental sometimes. It was a good thing Lucas was here.

"If it wasn't him, then why would the drones just fall out of the sky?"

"Because I did it, of course."

Darren was speechless.

He never expected Lucas to admit it so readily.

Just a moment ago, he was vehemently denying it, and now he confessed so easily?

"You're saying your daddy didn't do it, but a little kid like you? How could you do something like that?"

"Is it that hard to make drones fall? All it takes is a signal jammer."

Lucas was completely unfazed, showing not a hint of remorse.

Darren was about to lose it. What kind of child was this?

"You brought down my drones. Even if you're a kid, you shouldn't be so brazen about it. Didn't your parents teach you any manners?"

"My family taught me to cherish the people around me and to treat them with the same love they show me. They taught me not to take love for granted just because I have it. To appreciate what I have, and to let go gracefully when it's gone. And most importantly, not to bother someone after my own carelessness caused me to lose them. That would just grind away the last bit of dignity I have left."

"You…"

Darren was furious. A five-year-old was lecturing him, and not so subtly either.

Lucas said magnanimously, "Since I'm the one who sent your drones into the ocean, as an apology, I'll compensate you for them."
