Blizzard First Love and a Wife Who Finally Snaps novel Chapter 431

Julian chuckled, leaning casually against the wall.

After exhaling a puff of smoke, he actually decided to explain.

“She’s actually a very determined person. Once she sets her mind on something, she’ll see it through, even if it leaves her broken and bleeding. She always takes responsibility for the consequences.”

“You think she went along with her mother’s scheme to get back at Selena and her daughter, and forced you into marriage because she loved you?”

Adrian thought for a moment and answered honestly, “Isn’t that what happened?”

Julian scoffed. “If she didn’t love you, she wouldn’t have married you even if her mother got on her knees and begged. She would have told you the truth, agreed to put on a show for her mother, and then you would have gone your separate ways once her mother was gone.”

“She married you simply because she loved you.”

“But now…” He flicked the ash from his cigarette. “You can see for yourself.”

A shadow fell over Adrian’s features. “I know I didn’t understand her enough. I accept all my past mistakes, and I’ll make up for them. But I’m trying to make amends now. Why is she still so angry?”

“You’ve never looked at things from her perspective.” Julian straightened up slightly. “She wanted a divorce, and you refused, dragging it out for two and a half years.”

“As for you making amends, since she hasn’t forgiven you, everything you do is wrong. Do you get it?”

“Take this kneeling, for instance. What is she supposed to think? That she should just watch you die out here? Or that she should follow your script and forgive you?”

“But all she wants is to divorce you.”

A look of hurt appeared in Adrian’s eyes. “I’ve already agreed. Just these nineteen days. I really won’t drag it out anymore or do anything to upset her.”

“I was just thinking that in these nineteen days, I could make up for as much as possible.”

“And yes, I admit it. I’m not doing this for nothing. I am asking for her forgiveness.”

Julian took a final drag from his cigarette. “From the moment she decided to divorce you, she had no intention of forgiving you. Even if you experienced every bit of pain you ever caused her, it wouldn’t matter.”

“Her hand will never fully heal. The doctors you found from abroad were useless, weren’t they?”
