Aurora Walton and Lucas Carter novel Chapter 1684

He had no real grasp of the situation back home.

If he went back now, it would only anger his father.

After thinking it over, Joseph decided it was better to stay where he was.

After all, he still had things to take care of here.

And if he returned, he had no idea how his father would treat him.

Besides, the goals he’d set for himself, the things he wanted to accomplish, were still unfinished.

Going back now would only leave him with regret.

The next day, Joseph went straight to Judy’s house again.

He found her busy working on her studio projects.

The man she lived with didn’t seem to restrict her movements at all.

That discovery surprised him.

He’d always thought Judy was trapped here, that she had no freedom and that was why she refused to leave with him.

But now it didn’t look that way.

If she wasn’t being controlled, then why did she still refuse to go with him?

Hiding nearby, Joseph watched the villa closely, waiting for his chance.

When Kenneth finally left the house, Joseph decided to wait for Judy to come out.

Soon enough, she stepped outside, heading off to handle studio business.

At once, Joseph came out from the corner and grabbed her arm tightly.

“Come with me. You shouldn’t stay here.”

Judy stared at him in confusion, then, realizing who it was, yanked her arm free.
