Laura grumbled, her voice sharp with frustration. “Seriously, Natalie is everywhere. Even after Isabella and Ethan got divorced, Natalie just won’t let Isabella go. She keeps picking on her, like Isabella did something unforgivable in a past life or something.”
“She’s always on Isabella’s case, never wanting to see her happy. If Natalie hadn’t been so fake and always causing trouble, Isabella and Ethan could have worked things out. Ethan might have actually fallen for Isabella by now.”
“They probably wouldn’t have divorced. Who knows, maybe they’d even have a baby already. But Natalie just had to meddle.”
“Isabella got tired of fighting with her. She was the one who brought up the divorce, just set Ethan free, and now she doesn’t care who he’s with or who he spoils.”
“But Natalie still can’t stand to see Isabella do well. She was so jealous when Ethan gave Isabella a big chunk of their assets. During the divorce, Natalie kept bugging Ethan, telling him not to give Isabella so much. Ethan even got back the wedding gifts that had been taken and gave them to Isabella.”
“Natalie was losing her mind with jealousy. Now that our company is taking off and making money, she’s jealous all over again. So what does she do? She rents an office right across from ours, starts her own media company, and goes head-to-head with us.”
Laura had been back at work the last few days and found out that Natalie’s first short series was basically a copy of their most popular show, just with a few minor changes.
As soon as Natalie’s show goes live, Laura was ready to report her for copying.
Most of the streaming platforms have a great relationship with Isabella’s company. If they hand over the proof, the platforms will pull Natalie’s show. That would mean a big loss for Natalie’s company.
If their show can’t even make it online, they’re done for.
