So this was all about Isabella.
Jordan’s voice lost its warmth. “I saw what’s trending. Harold and Ethan both put out statements to clear things up. Isabella dropped that recording and honestly, she didn’t even have to say much. Anyone who listens to it is going to be on her side.”
“The George family is just too greedy. You told them to go after Isabella for money, to keep bothering her and ruin her life, but they tried to take everything she owns.”
“Isabella isn’t the same girl she used to be. They can’t push her around anymore. And you, before you sent them after her, you should’ve figured out what they’d already done to her.”
“Don’t just hand out bad advice. It never ends well. You’ll just get yourself caught up in their mess.”
People online had already started saying the George family was planning to post videos and stir up hate against Isabella, using public pressure to force her to give in. And everyone knew it was Natalie who gave them the idea.
After the backlash, the George family hid out in a hotel, too scared to step outside. But that didn’t stop them from going online. Paul and the others didn’t even hesitate. They made a video and put it out there, throwing Natalie under the bus. They told everyone their parents were manipulated by Natalie, that she was the one egging them on to go after Isabella.
Then Ethan went public with the real reason for his divorce, and suddenly everyone knew Isabella was innocent. Natalie, though, became “Ethan’s Natalie,” and the whole internet remembered her name. People started digging up her social media, leaving angry messages everywhere.
Natalie had no idea any of this was happening. She hadn’t even checked her accounts yet.
“I just wanted to use them to mess with Isabella. I didn’t care what happened to them. They’re hopeless. They deserve to stay broke. Anyway, hurry up and send me some money. I want to do some shopping.”
