After lunch, the four friends went shopping.
Melody had managed to clear her schedule for a day, and she wasn't about to waste it resting. She wanted to be with her best friends.
Perhaps when you're with people you love, everything feels joyful.
The women had plenty to talk about while shopping—clothes, bags, shoes, earrings, skincare—all were hot topics.
Janina told them about the video Julius had sent her.
Unsurprisingly, the conversation immediately shifted to Julius and Yvonne.
Maggie commented, "Julius is pretty ruthless. Yvonne is still recovering from childbirth, and he's beating someone up like that? Isn't he worried something will happen? She was someone he once loved, after all. He turned on her so quickly."
"If Yvonne were in a show about court intrigue, she'd probably make it to the end. But a moron like Julius? He wouldn't survive past the second episode. He's not just stupid, he has zero self-awareness," Melody said with a disdainful eye-roll. She had no respect for men like that.
Wendy immediately chimed in. "Well, it's a complicated situation. Oh, right, whose baby is it?"
"Probably Farmer's," Janina replied flatly.
"No wonder Julius is so furious. He was deceived the whole time, lost his happy family for her, and in the end, even the child isn't his. I'd have a hard time accepting that too."
After saying her piece, Maggie nudged Janina. "You should be thanking Yvonne for getting you divorced from Julius. A jerk like that was bound to cheat sooner or later."
Janina shot her a sideways glance. "My brain must have been kicked by a donkey back then. I was blind and foolish. Luckily, I got out in time. Speaking of which, how are things with you and your younger boyfriend?"
At this, Melody and Wendy's gazes both shifted to Maggie, curious about her love life.
Maggie casually folded her arms. "We're still seeing each other. When I get bored, I'll find someone new!"
