Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 341

In the dead of night, Janina Holt’s eyes snapped open.

The moment Dylan had pulled out that handkerchief, she’d guessed his intention.

So, as the cloth touched her nose and mouth, she held her breath, inhaling only a small amount of the drug.

Her head was still spinning, but she was conscious.

She sat up from the floor and began to shuffle around, searching for any tool she could use.

She remembered where the knives were kept and, a moment later, her fingers found the handle of a kitchen knife.

Twisting her hands, which were bound behind her back, she began sawing the rope against the blade, back and forth, again and again.

The edge of the knife occasionally bit into her skin, sending sharp pains through her wrists. Blood began to seep from the cuts, but she didn't dare stop.

Only one thought consumed her.

Escape!

After a few minutes, the ropes finally gave way.

Gritting her teeth against the pain, she cut the ropes binding her feet.

Once she was free, she quietly returned to her original spot on the floor.

Her two captors had just fallen asleep. She had to wait until they were in a deeper sleep before she could make her move.

The night stretched on, feeling endless.

Outside, thunder cracked and lightning split the sky as a violent storm raged.

Pressing her ear to the wall, Janina listened to the snores coming from the next room, her heart pounding with a mixture of fear and anticipation.

When she felt the time was right, she carefully got to her feet.

She crept to the door, her hand trembling slightly as she reached for the knob.

She pulled it open just a crack.

She peeked outside.

Seeing that the coast was clear, she silently slipped through the doorway.

Suddenly.

A face appeared right in front of her. Janina’s blood ran cold. Her eyes widened in terror, and she nearly screamed.
