Julius was completely dumbfounded. He had never seen this brutal side of Janina before. When he finally snapped out of his shock, he ran to shield Yvonne with his body, trembling with rage. "Janina, do you want me to call the police and have you arrested?"

Now exhausted, Janina leaned against Natalie, panting heavily. She met his furious gaze with a cold one of her own. "The police? Ha. Believe me, I'll kill her right now."

"You…" Julius was so angry he was speechless.

Natalie, holding her sister steady, had also been stunned by her actions. Janina had looked like she wanted to beat the woman to death. This was not the Janina she knew.

Yvonne's cheeks were grotesquely swollen, blood trickling from the corner of her mouth, a nasty sight.

Her eyes blazing, she scrambled up and fumbled in her small purse, pulling out a sharp little razor blade. She shot out from behind Julius, raising the blade to slash at Janina's face.

Janina dodged sideways, evading the attack. Yvonne had thrown her entire weight into the lunge. Thrown off balance, she lost control and stumbled forward. Julius tried to catch her, but it was too late.

Yvonne fell to the ground, and the sharp blade sliced deeply into her own palm. A horrifying scream tore from her throat. "Ah!"
