Chapter 188
Chapter 188
“If you’ve already found proof that I’m not your daughter, why didn’t you let me go back to the orphanage?” Abigail stared at Gabriel and Bianca and questioned.
Daniella let out a sigh of relief the moment everyone’s attention shifted away from her.
“The Gibson family raised you for a while. Since we had already announced publicly that we brought you back, of course, we had to continue raising you as someone useful. You did indeed serve a great purpose,” Christian said on purpose to upset her.
If Abigail hadn’t been part of the Gibson family, her going to prison in place of Daniella wouldn’t have counted as compensation.
“Shut your mouth!” Stephen growled at Christian, then immediately turned to Abigail. “Abby, don’t listen to his nonsense-
“You just wanted someone who could bring benefit to the Gibson family. After all, you could afford my expenses.” Abigail’s tone was sharp and
sarcastic.
Gabriel said solemnly, “Abigail, many things in the past were misunderstandings. If the DNA test proves that you’re our daughter, then all of this was Daniella’s doing. I’ve discussed it with your mom. Everything she’s done to you, we will avenge you for it.”
Abigail looked at Daniella, whose face had turned pale as paper, and then at Christian, who looked anxious.
She suddenly let out a cold laugh. “And how do you plan to avenge me? When Grandpa didn’t want to give her any shares, someone cried and begged to kneel down for me.”
“You say all this like you’re righteous, but in the end, it’s just moral blackmail.” Abigail’s face was utterly indifferent.
Bianca got a sharp look from Gabriel, and then he tried to comfort Abigail, “But it didn’t work in the end, right? Abby, your mom just has a soft heart-
“We haven’t even done the DNA test yet. She’s not my mother. Even if, genetically, I’m your daughter, I still won’t acknowledge you.” Abigail said.
After she finished, she looked at Stephen and said, “Don’t waste my time on this crap again. I only recognize Grandpa as my family. If you think I can’t stay in this house, then I’ll move out with Grandpa.”
“I call the shots in this house. If I don’t agree, no one is kicking Abby out,” Wyatt followed up.
Then, he turned to explain to Abigail, “Abby, I didn’t know they had another test result, that’s why I treated you that way. I always thought you weren’t raised in Gibson Villa, and they—”
“Grandpa, let’s just handle the more important issue.” Abigail’s voice was calm.
Gabriel stood up and said to Stephen, “Go get my belt.”
As soon as Daniella heard that, she began trembling. She knelt on the floor, crying as she looked at Bianca. “Mom, I just spent normally, I didn’t do anything else.”
“Dad, Dani is telling the truth. We never restricted her spending. You can’t blame it all on her,” Christian said.
“She might’ve used that money to buy a drone and poison Sebastian’s cat,” Stephen said coldly from the side..
Christian shouted, “Shut up! There’s no proof for that—”
Stephen roared, cutting him off, “What more proof do you need? She dared to kill someone in a car accident as soon as she turned eighteen and had Abby take the fall for her. Killing a cat is nothing to her–like squashing an ant, right?”
“If you two don’t stop fighting, get out!” Gabriel glared at his two sons.
“Abby, go upstairs,” Wyatt said to Abigail, who was frowning nearby.
“No. I want to stay here.” Abigail sat on the sofa.
Stephen handed the belt to Gabriel, then also found a spot and sat down.
Gabriel walked toward Daniella with the belt in hand. “Speak. These past two years, what did you do with those tens of millions of dollars?”
Daniella cried as she shrank back, her eyes full of fear.
