...That… That voice…! It was undoubtedly Zivon’s voice…!
Xavia, for one, knew that videos and voice recordings weren’t easily fabricated… That aside, she also knew that Jenna wouldn’t be stupid enough to present her with fake evidence… So… all this was real…?! The pain of realization made her heart feel like it had just been sliced open and doused with salt…
To think that after listening to Dolly’s advice and mustering the courage to place her trust in Zivon… She’d be greeted by this utter ridiculousness instead…!
By this point, Xavia was digging her nails so deep into her palms that even blood was starting to flow out… Even so, she couldn’t even feel it. She was truly at a loss for words…
Staring smugly at Xavia, Jenna then scoffed, “If you don’t believe me, feel free to ask Zivon tonight whether he’ll be divorcing me. I’d love to hear his answer! Oh, and speaking of which, Zivon and I will be watching fireworks in a bit, so he may visit you a little later~ What a pitiful woman you are, Xavia.”
Following a sinister laugh, Jenna then left the room, leaving Xavia frozen in place… Her heart was now indistinguishable from a block of ice…
Xavia remained frozen there for the longest time… and it wasn’t till she heard her message notification tone when she finally snapped out of it. It was a message from Zivon.
‘Sorry, Xavia, but I’ll be a little late. I’ll be coming over in a bit.’
…Like hell there’d be a ‘later’…!
Though her hands were now shaking, the despairing woman quickly replied, ‘You were with Jenna that night, weren’t you? Did you not say that you’d settle your marriage with her? How much longer do you intend to stall?!’
It barely took a few seconds before Xavia received an incoming call from Zivon. The fact that he had done this so quickly meant that he really cared about her… but all Xavia did was sneer in disgust.
Still, she wanted to at least hear his explanation so she answered the call… and the second she picked up, she heard Zivon ask, “Are you still at the address you sent earlier? Wait for me. I’m coming over.”
