Pregnant and Favored: See You in the Morning, Young Master novel Chapter 801

Xavia stared at him in bewilderment. “Why didn’t you tell me? I thought you—”

“Did not want to take responsibility?” Zivon interrupted her calmly. “You had a blood clotting disorder and would never be able to give birth. I did not want you to hear such cruel news when you just lost a child.”

In other words, he had just been trying to protect her, physically and mentally.

He had been enduring all this on his own and hadn't told anyone what he was going through, which had led to her misunderstanding him.

He was clearly a mature man who was responsible, loving, and decisive.

Now that Xavia knew the truth, she felt horrible. It was like she was a fickle young girl compared to him.

“I’m sorry.” She had always been the kind of person who was willing to own up to her mistakes.

Zivon stared at her and asked, “That’s it? You're sorry? Isn't there anything else you want to say?”

Anything else…?

Xavia became flustered. Truthfully, she never expected this to be the real reason behind his words. She was shocked, but she also felt touched and deeply moved.

He was willing to take responsibility for her and shoulder all her burdens. How could she tell him all that? She was really not prepared at all. Would it be too impulsive of her to say all that now?

“Xavia Lockhart, our relationship is over.” The man’s voice suddenly sounded.

Xavia’s body stiffened in shock, and her heart thudded painfully as if someone had thrust a knife into it. “What…What did you say?”

She thought the reason he called her over was to tell her the truth because he wanted to…

But now, he was saying that it was over?

Although nothing had actually started between them, for some reason, Xavia felt panicked and distressed. She quickly explained, “I did not know it was like that. I did not misunderstand you on purpose.”

Zivon's gaze was cold as he told her, “The moment you decided to test me, it proved that you don't trust me. That only shows that even after so long, you do not understand me at all. You should leave.”
