After sitting up, the infuriated man growled, “Were you seriously having a tryst behind my back that entire week…?! One month…! You couldn’t even handle one month without him…?!”

Keith was now using enough force to completely twist a person’s arm off, and after letting out a pained grunt, Xavia replied, “Y-young Master Keith, please stop…! It hurts…! Listen to what I have to say first…!”

“What is there to listen to?! Pretending to be a good girl before me day in and day out, promising you wouldn’t have any further interactions with him…! All that was bullsh*t! What a fool I’ve been! To think that I really believed that you’d stay by my side for at least this one month…! You and Hartley must’ve found it hilarious to have kept me in the dark all this time…!”

“Have you any idea how mocked I felt when Uncle Zivon gave me that look….?! It was like he was saying that both my assistant and woman belonged to him…! What’s more, I’m pretty sure he thinks of me as an oblivious idiot now…! How utterly ridiculous…!” concluded Keith as he laughed in self-pity.

The man was clearly having an emotional collapse out of sheer inferiority… He was now out of control, and he was one step away from being driven into madness…!

As Keith began strangling Xavia, she desperately attempted to struggle while saying, “D-don’t do this…! H-help me…!”

With how dire things were looking, the terrified Hartley finally snapped out of his shock before rushing forward and exclaiming, “Y-young Master Keith…! Please, calm down…! She’ll die if you continue…!”

Unfortunately for Hartley, no matter how hard he tried to shake Keith off, the maddened man wouldn’t budge! Worried that Xavia would actually suffocate, Hartley said, “I-I’m sorry, Miss Lockhart, but please wait for a bit! I’ll go get the sedative from the car…!”

All Xavia could do was knit her brows, hoping that Hartley would be quick about it…! However, it was at that moment when she remembered that Keith’s most painful moments were when he had a relapse. While there weren’t any side effects from using sedatives, there’d be no benefit to using them all the time.

With that in mind, Xavia mustered all the strength she could to whimper, “N-no…! Stay here… Sedatives aren’t a solution…! Let me try something else…”

The second her sentence ended, Keith instantly increased his grip again! While breathing was now getting extremely difficult, Xavia endured the pain… before embracing him in her arms.
