Unfortunately for Hartley, Zivon simply stared at both of them for a long while before saying, “…That was a good move indeed. I really didn’t know your assistant was this capable, Keith.”
…F*ck. Oh god, oh f*ck…! It was all over for him…!
As Hartley felt his legs go weak, Keith wasn’t faring any better. While Keith was usually able to quickly adapt to situations, even he was feeling slightly panicked right now. After all, there was no way to explain themselves after scheming against Zivon like this…!
Still, Keith forced himself to maintain his composure as he replied, “…I agree that Hartley is loyal and always looks out for me, Uncle Zivon… But-”
“Loyal, you say?” interrupted Zivon as he continued walking forward… before stopping right in front of Keith.
Before Keith could reply, Zivon casually said, “Then I guess you don’t know that he’s been allowing me to meet Xavia in private in the past seven days…?”
His words momentarily startled Keith… However, that shock quickly turned into rage!
Hartley himself was already kneeling on the ground! True enough, not only did Zivon know how to destroy people, but also their hearts…! Everything was now falling to pieces…!
Regardless, upon seeing Keith’s reaction, Zivon simply continued leaving, not even turning back to look… What a terrifyingly dignified man…!
Zivon’s frigidness hadn’t lessened at all by the time he got back into the car. In fact, it had arguably worsened, and it left Nathan dumbfounded. What had happened in those few minutes of his absence…? Nathan, for one, didn’t dare to even ask right now, and he simply shivered in place…
Back inside the building, howls of pain could be heard from the narrow hallway that Keith and Hartley had been in. Just the screams alone were enough to tell others how agonized the person getting beaten up was…! It took ten whole minutes for the shouting to stop… and shortly after, a sweaty and pale-faced Hartley could be seen carrying the now unconscious Keith out!
