Grabbing him by the arm, Xavia immediately began dragging Zivon into the main court.
Once they were in an empty yard, Xavia was prompted to exclaim, “Have you lost it, Young Master Burton? How could you reveal that to Louisa! What if Louisa notifies someone else about this? In fact, I’m now worried that she’ll soon realize that I’ve been massaging Lady Burton all this while! Are you trying to get me killed or something?!”
She really shouldn’t have come!
Standing under the moon’s rays, the grumpy—yet pretty—woman’s skin looked as fair as snow. Zivon himself had a sensual gaze in his eyes as he replied, “Like anyone could kill you. That aside, if you die, I’ll just die with you.”
“You…! Who’d want to die with you!” scoffed the simultaneously frustrated and embarrassed Xavia. She was really mad about this! How could he still have the heart to joke around?!
Not wanting to bother about him any further, she then took the scarf off before stuffing it in his arms. Watching as Xavia began leaving, Zivon simply smirked as he quickly caught up to her while saying, “Put it on unless you’re deliberately trying to get my attention…”
Xavia definitely wasn’t aiming for that! Quickly draping the scarf around her shoulders again, Xavia then retorted, “Fine! Now leave me be! I hope we never meet again!”
Despite how aggressive the tiny woman was, Zivon smirked again as he replied, “It’s late, so let me send you back.”
“I assure you that the only danger to me out here is you,” scoffed Xavia before running off toward the wooded path ahead…
Smiling subtly, Zivon simply walked up to her once more… There were many trees surrounding this area, and though the place looked scenic during the day, at night, it was honestly a little frightening.
Since Xavia was walking in front, Zivon’s hulking shadow easily extended past her. In all honesty, it made her feel safe, and this prompted her to think, ‘For f*ck’s sake, why am I feeling safe when it’s that bad man’s shadow…!’
