By the time Xavia got back to the North Court—with Yulia in her arms, she bumped into Keith as he was descending the stairs. This prompted her to ask, “Leaving at this hour, Young Master Keith?”
Fixing his tie, Keith then said, “Yeah, a situation has popped up.”
Just as he was about to leave, however, he retraced his steps and looked Xavia straight in the eye before adding, “Try not to be around Uncle Zivon whenever I’m not around… It gives the public a reason to shed us in a negative light. Also, remember that the trip will be in two days, so do make sure to free up some of your time.”
After saying that, Keith then ran off, leaving Xavia momentarily speechless. Try not to be around Zivon? Just thinking Keith’s words made her feel rather guilty. After all, not only had she kissed Zivon in the car last night, but they had even slept together…
Had Keith found something out…?
Fast forward to three that morning, Ava couldn’t seem to sleep at all. The two sleeping pills she took didn’t seem to be working either.
“It isn’t good to be awake at this hour, Lady Burton… Should I get Miss Jenna over to give you a massage…?” asked Louisa.
After all, Ava had easily drifted to sleep after ‘Jenna’ gave her a massage back then… Whatever the case was, Ava simply replied, “Jenna’s already a busy woman, and she has to prepare for the ship as well. I don’t want to trouble her any further, nor do I want Zivon to worry about me…”
“With all due respect, they’re your children, Lady Burton… It’s their duty to take care of you. That aside, not telling them about your troubles will only make them feel guilty in the future… With that said, wait here. I’ll be heading to the Private Court to get Young Master Burton and Miss Jenna over,” said Louisa as she tucked Ava in before walking off…
Upon arriving at Zivon’s Private Court, however, she was just about to call out when all of a sudden, she heard Jenna’s tipsy voice saying, “Are you… seriously divorcing me, Zivon…? You know, my heart’s been a mess ever since your last call… I was too anxious to even face you, you know…? It’s only in this drunken state that I’ve gained a bit of courage…!”
