Followed by a commanding tone, stating, “Get some burn ointment. If you don’t have that, get some aloe vera gel instead.”
Once his order was complete, the man grabbed her fine hand before pulling Xavia toward the landscape pond in the courtyard. Since the running water there was cold, he quickly placed her burnt hand into it… and the second he did that, Xavia quickly felt the pain dissipate…
Though she wanted to thank him, the man quickly instructed, “Don’t move. Continue soaking your hand a little longer to prevent blisters.”
Shortly after he said that, the sales personnel came running over. Trembling as she handed him some aloe vera gel, the panicked woman then said, “H-here’s my perfect aloe vera gel from my cosmetic pouch…! You can use it on the young lady first…! I’ll run to the pharmacy next to get some burn ointment…!”
After Zivon took the gel from her, she disappeared in a flash… Regardless, after placing a few wet paper towels aside, Zivon began uncapping the aloe vera gel while saying in an uncharacteristic soft—yet focused—tone, “If it doesn’t feel painful anymore, wipe the wound with a wet paper towel then apply some of the aloe vera gel on it…”
Though it had only been about two minutes since her hand got scalded, Zivon had handled the situation so calmly and speedily that it almost seemed like he truly was worried for her… But that wasn’t possible, right? He was probably just helping her out of convenience…
With that in mind, Xavia quickly calmed herself before replying in a polite—and somewhat estranged—tone, “…Thanks, I’m feeling much better now… I can deal with the rest myself…”
Watching as Xavia then clumsily got some wet tissues—as well as the aloe vera gel that he was holding onto—to start dealing with the wound herself, Zivon eventually grabbed her tiny wrist before gently wiping it dry. Though his actions were domineering, at the same time, they were also exceedingly gentle…
Either way, after squeezing some aloe vera gel out, Zivon began rubbing it on her wrist as well as on the back of her hand. Rather than continuing to hurt, the scalded area now felt cool and itchy… and in addition, the now increasingly uncomfortable Xavia could also feel her blood pumping, resulting in her feeling warmer by the second. The following two minutes honestly felt like centuries…
That aside, it was only after Zivon was done applying the medicine when he realized that her cheeks were flushed like ripe tomatoes! This prompted him to say, “…You only hurt your wrist, no? Why’s your face so red?”
This, of course, made Xavia’s cheeks go even redder! Quickly retracting her hand, she then lowered her head while replying, “I-it’s just… due to the hot weather…! That’s it!”
