Zivon raised the corner of his lips slightly. “Getting married?”
His noble voice was obviously filled with coldness and shock.
Jenna nodded. “That’s right. I happened to hear her foster mother talking about it by chance. It seems as though she was going to get married to that middle-aged widower, Luke Wilson. I don’t know what’s up with my younger sister. Although Luke’s assets would eventually belong to her after his death, how could she let go of her lifetime’s happiness just because of that? Ahh... I really have to talk to her properly about this when I see her next time.”
Jenna made it sound as though she was concerned about Xavia on the surface with just a few words, but in reality, she was intentionally saying that Xavia was getting married to an old man for the sake of money.
Zivon had a cold expression on his face.
Was the black card that he had given to Xavia not enough? Was she still that short on money?
The air was filled with frost.
Jenna smiled slightly, suddenly clutching her stomach and turning pale. “Ahh. It hurts…”
She had a severe cold uterus and dysmenorrhea. The doctor who examined her determined that it was the result of her giving birth too early.
Of course, this was fake.
Zivon didn’t know this, and he attributed Jenna’s monthly pain as his own responsibility. After putting his thoughts aside, he said, “You should go to your room and rest first. I will ask Zayne to send some medicine over to you.”
“Okay. Thank you, Zivon,” Jenna spoke weakly as she clutched her stomach and walked upstairs with much ‘difficulty’.
After entering her room, the pained expression on her face dissipated, and it was replaced with a smug and happy expression.
Although Zivon didn’t show her much concern, nor did he act like other boyfriends who would take care of their girlfriends and give them utmost attention and concern, Jenna could use this excuse to stay before she would find an opportunity to eventually moved in in future.
Moreover, Zivon was now disgusted with Xavia and this was a very satisfying result for Jenna.
‘My dear younger sister, are you doing well?’
In the dark room.
