The children fell asleep very soon.
When Xavia was half-asleep, she heard Zivon say. “I have to go out for two hours. I’ll try to get back before you’re awake, but if I’m not back yet, you can look for Jenna for anything or call me.”
Xavia opened her eyes and asked in concern, “Where are you going? Is it important?”
Ever since the babies were born, he had not left her side at all. Hence, she felt like it was important.
Zivon hummed softly. “My teacher said he recently did a study and a test that would help my leg, so I thought I'd go over and check it out.
“I actually want to wait until your confinement is over, but my teacher is old and he has retired earlier. I shouldn’t keep him waiting.”
Xavia’s eyes lit up after understanding the situation. “That’s a good thing. Go ahead! I can take care of Frank and Fabiola. By the way, the journey from here to the city is a long one, not to mention the mountain road is arduous and winding. Please tell Mr. Miller to drive slowly and stay safe.”
As she was speaking, she realized Nathan was standing outside the room. It seemed like he had been waiting for a while.
“Mr. Miller, please be careful.”
Nathan immediately nodded his head. “Of course. Thank you for your understanding, Mrs. Burton. Don’t worry, I’ll be very careful.”
“Okay.” Xavia smiled warmly and turned to Zivon. “Go in peace. Don’t worry about me. I’m not a child, and I have my sister to accompany me as well.”
Zivon smiled faintly, lowered his head, and kissed Xavia on her forehead before leaving.
After he left, Jenna walked in and gently said, “Young Master Burton’s teacher is a magnificent person. His whole family is dedicated to research and development, and they know a lot about medicine. If he says that there is hope, there certainly must be a great chance of success. If Young Master Burton could recover from his leg injury, it would be a happy ending for all.”
Xavia happily nodded in response. “Yeah. It’s good to have hope, and I hope this hope becomes a reality.”
Jenna smiled. “Don’t worry. Young Master Burton will be fine.”
“Yeah.” Xavia closed her eyes to rest while she was praying for Zivon to recover soon.
Zivon was no longer emotional and resistant as he once was, even adapting to life with a disability. However, Xavia knew there had always been a knot in his heart that he just didn't want to show to her.
His legs were long and straight, perfectly proportioned as a work of art, and she wanted to see him stand up again.
Perhaps the thoughts she had that day led to her dreaming that Zivon was able to stand up again. He approached her slowly with a bouquet of flowers.
