“…You’ve gotten slicker during my absence, it seems,” scoffed Zivon.
It was clear that he was trying to be mean, but Xavia knew better. With that, she simply smiled and replied, “I’m simply stating the truth. That aside… You should know that the babies have been kicking ever since you spoke earlier… I’m guessing that they’re glad that they finally get to meet their father… Come on, have a feel…”
Before Zivon could stop her, she had already placed his hand over her belly… and true enough, he soon felt tiny kicks on his palm! The feeling was… magical and serene, to say the least, and Zivon soon found his heart melting…
Noticing the change in his expression, Xavia smiled and asked, “Well? Did you feel that? I think that they’re just calling out for their father… Be patient little ones… Only a month more…”
…A month more, huh? How time flew…
Smiling slightly, Zivon then shook his head before replying, “…Indeed… Have you made an appointment for a maternity check-up?”
“Of course, not. I’ve been waiting for you. Remember, being a father requires involvement, so I hope you don’t assume that you only need to unbuckle your belt once and reap all the benefits.”
