“If all goes right, then our marriage will return to normal, and we’ll even have two new children… Of course, this is only what I want, and to not make it seem unfair to you, I’m fine if you meet other women… Or if you have anything else in mind, just say the word.”
Naturally, Zivon’s expression turned icy the second her sentence ended! Though he was happy to know that she wasn’t in love with Cade, to think that she was telling him to go out with other women…! Didn’t that mean that the marriage was only for the sake of the kids…?! Was there even any love in those words…?!
Now downright pissed, Zivon growled, “…If that’s what you think, then I believe that we should just go on with the divorce.”
This, of course, left Xavia startled. And here she thought that he wouldn’t continue with the divorce after all her compromises… Maybe her words last night had prompted him to think that he deserved better…? Or maybe he had already planned to marry some other woman…?
Whatever the case was, Xavia ended up taking a deep breath before saying, “…Very well. I’m sorry I let you down. I’ll sign the papers once I get home, and I’ll courier the agreement to you sometime later.”
Hearing one of the nurses call up to her, Xavia then got up to enter the room… Leaving the poker-faced man seated on the bench. Only God knew how much turmoil was currently in his heart…!
After all was done, Zivon sent Xavia back to the palace…
Though Ian had expected their relationship to be somewhat mended, he couldn’t help but notice how much more distant the two now seemed! Following a sigh, he was prompted to mutter, “…Did your relationship actually get worse…?”
