Watching as the two continued getting beaten up, Whitney, who had been watching from under a tree from a distance, couldn’t help but smirk. She was going to make sure that Xavia and Zivon would never ever reunite throughout their lives… and even if they somehow went against all odds, she had promised herself to break Xavia down to the point where their love would no longer matter! This was the price they had to pay for humiliating her so much…!
Fast forward to about a month later, everyone remained worried and helpless. After all, Xavia had yet to be found, and by this point, everyone was secretly expecting the worst. Despite their negativity, however, Zivon continued believing that Xavia was still alive. In fact, he had even doubled his efforts by trying to find her through her scent residues!
Unbeknownst to him, Whitney had been two steps ahead of him, and since she had fed Xavia those scent-concealing drugs, the investigation team’s dogs were unable to locate her no matter how hard they tried…
In the end, the distraught man came up with an outrageous idea that had an actual chance of working! Basically, he figured that Whitney had done something to conceal Xavia’s scent, so after thinking for the longest time, he finally realized the one thing that Whitney couldn’t change. Xavia’s blood!
If he gathered blood samples from everyone and somehow managed to turn the blood back into scent form, then he had another shot at finding her! Alas, that was easier said than done, and he ended up cooping himself up in his lab for several days at a time. Hell, he had even told Jenna and the Frankston twins to accompany him so that he could study their blood types and potentially speed things up... And after ten days of tirelessly working, he actually succeeded!
“Share the technique with all the relevant people and have everyone in the country inspected. Stat!”
“Of course, Young Master Burton, but for the love of God, please get some rest…!” replied Nathan.
