Though that was one issue dealt with, her nausea remained. What’s more, the fact that she had vomited so much meant that she was now extremely weak again…
Thankfully, the stench of her vomit was enough to prompt the man to yank her out of the cage before dragging her into the cowshed… Sure, the place still stank to high heaven thanks to all the dung, but this was honestly an upgrade compared to sleeping out in the cold, freezing rain! She needed the warmth not only because she wanted to stay healthy, but also because she had a feeling… that she was pregnant.
After all, she had been pregnant before, and she had a feeling that she hadn’t just thrown up earlier due to that man’s stench. Gently patting her stomach, the weak woman muttered, “Please don’t let me have a baby now, God… I really can’t afford to take care of it now… Please, if you’re listening, please help me out of this place…”
Xavia wasn’t quite sure when she had fallen asleep, but when she woke up again, she realized that it was early in the morning. Not a sound could be heard outside, and that was enough to tell Xavia that this really was a desolate village…
Shaking her head, she got up and looked around the barn, hoping to find a way to escape… As expected, however, the door had been locked from the outside. She had noticed that the walls were earthen, and while it was true that she could attempt to poke a hole through one of them, she also knew that that could easily end up making quite a bit of noise… Possibly enough to wake that crazed old man up!
Just as she was wondering how she should even proceed, the cow beside her suddenly mooed… and just like that, Xavia got an idea! Looking at it, Xavia pursed her lips before muttering, “…Sorry for what I’m about to do to you…”
