The way she said it made it seem like she was being extremely reasonable, and that only served to piss Zivon off even more! Glaring daggers at her, Zivon growled, “You’re not qualified to even request such a thing…!”
Despite how demonic his expression looked, Whitney simply replied, “Then let’s see who dies first in the end! Me or Xavia! Speaking of which, I don’t think I’ve told you how much pain she’ll be in soon! Basically, her lungs will start to rot, and she’ll find it increasingly difficult to breathe! If she’s not careful, she could go die at any moment! Honestly, with that amount of pain, it would be a wonder if she didn’t go insane-”
Before Whitney could even end her sentence, Zivon had already grasped her neck with such immense force that he could have easily snapped it in two if he wanted to! Giving her a death glare, he was prompted to growl, “Would you like to continue testing my patience…?!”
He wasn’t playing around, and Whitney could feel that. Zivon would really choke her to death if she continued taunting him! Even so, the pale-faced woman struggled to sputter, “L-listen here…! There are only thirty known herbs that could cure her in our nation, so believe me when I say that you won’t find a goddamned cure without me…! Kill me if you want, but I hope you enjoy watching her die in agony…!”
Though Zivon wanted nothing more than to snap her neck right now, he ultimately couldn’t bring himself to do it. He had failed to consider such an outcome when he first obtained the Tansyoko from Whitney, which indirectly meant that Xavia’s imminent suffering was partially going to be his fault. Was he truly willing to let her experience such pain again…? It didn’t help that this bitch kept taunting him like this…!
His train of thought was cut short when his phone suddenly rang… and following a sneer, he released his grip on Whitney’s neck to pick up… It was Ian. Raising a slight brow, Zivon picked up… and the second he did, he heard Ian say, “Zivon? We’ve found the cure. Xavia is going to be fine!”
