His voice that was trailing upward was a little enigmatical.

Xavia raised her eyes.

The man was looking down at her from above and he looked even more majestic and oppressive at this point which gave people an invisible sense of suffocation.

She pursed her lips. “It’s none of your business. I acted as a substitute for Jenna, so I need you to do something for me as well.”

This was the first time that Zivon has ever heard anyone speaking to him in such a direct tone.

“Are you negotiating terms with me or is this a threat?”

“Both. It can mean whatever you interpret it as.” In fact, Xavia simply wanted his help but if he was saying it like this, then so be it.

Anyway, it would be fine as long as he helped her.

Zivon laughed slightly before he leaned forward and locked his dark black eyes on her.

“Are you sure you’re just acting as Jenna’s substitute?”
