The man did not turn around after he heard her. He continued standing there indifferently, not saying anything at all.

The sky was bright and there was a calm breeze blowing, but the atmosphere was extraordinarily depressing.

Xavia did not know what was going on in his mind, but she knew that it was not pleasant. She said weakly, “Young Master Burton, if there’s nothing to discuss, I’ll leave…”

“Is that all you can say to me?” The man’s low voice finally rang out, accusatory and dangerous.

Xavia was startled by the question. She knew what he meant, and also why he had called her here. Unfortunately, she could not explain much at the moment.

His words were calculated and his tone mocking. Whenever he asked a question, he would take a step forward, approaching her like a predator.

Xavia’s body tensed up and she stepped back nervously. “No, I did not think that at all. Can we talk about everything after one month has passed?”

“Pfft.” Zivon stood in front of her and curled his fingers around her chin. “One month? Sophia Harrison and I were supposed to get together in one month. I was thinking about how I could reassure you and make you happy, but you actually got involved with Mark Newman before I could. Do you think I would die if I wasn't with you? Do I have to wait for you for a month?”
