That aside, to think that he hadn’t even bothered explaining things to her! Forget Sophia, even Xavia was seeing Zivon in a new light! Shaking the thought off, Xavia eventually replied, “…Fine. I’ll talk to Young Master Burton about it. I, for one, don’t think you’re a scheming woman, but… If you try any dirty tricks, I’ll definitely look down on you.”
“Got it. Relax, I know my limits. Thank you for giving me this chance…,” said Sophia.
“Don’t mention it. Now… I think you should be getting some rest,” replied Xavia before walking out of the ward…
On their way home, Xavia told Zivon all about her deal with Sophia… And the second she was done, Zivon immediately hit the brakes. As the car came to a screeching halt, Zivon couldn’t help but glare at the woman as he grumbled, “Are you some kind of knucklehead? Did you actually allow her to continue dating me…?!”
He, for one, had thought that it was enough that she had talked some sense into Sophia. To think she had gone the extra mile to do something so stupid!
Gulping in response, Xavia inched closer to the side of the vehicle as she whimpered, “I-I couldn’t exactly say no in that situation…! That aside, I-”
“So you can’t say no to that but you’re fine with constantly pushing your boyfriend away?” interrupted Zivon with a huff, making it clear that he was really annoyed now…!
Feeling helpless, she suddenly remembered what Sophia had earlier said… and after taking in a deep breath, she meekly replied, “…Y-You know, now that I think about it, you were quite irritated because I didn’t care much about you being with Sophia back then as well… Now that it’s happening again, I wonder if a gentleman like you is actually prone to getting envious…”
This prompted the corner of Zivon’s mouth to twitch. This was her response to his serious question…?! Sure, so be it! Why did he have to be angry when she cared this little about him! Starting the car again, Zivon grumbled, “Forget it.”
