The two were still wrapped in each other's arms in the office when, next door, a female employee hurried in with quick, excited steps.
She shut the door behind her, waving her hands dramatically as she stared at her colleagues, eyes wide with excitement.
“Guys, I’ve got some major gossip!”
Gossip?
When there wasn’t much work to do, the team in this office loved to indulge in a little juicy news.
All eyes snapped to her, curiosity written all over their faces. Everyone was wondering—what could be so shocking?
Just as she was about to spill what she’d witnessed, the door to the small meeting room opened.
A woman stepped out slowly, her gaze sweeping over the group.
Silvia Ashford frowned slightly. “What are you all talking about?”
It was barely the start of the workday, yet instead of working, everyone wore the unmistakable look of people hungry for scandal. What had happened?
The woman hesitated now that Silvia was there, suddenly unsure whether she should say anything at all. After all, this bit of gossip probably had something to do with Silvia.
But the others, oblivious to the details, were dying to know. Someone grinned and piped up, “Silvia, she just came in from outside—she says she’s got some big news to share.”
“Oh, really?”
Noticing the odd look on her colleague’s face, Silvia asked, “Just say it. We’re all coworkers here, practically family. No need to keep secrets.”
Pressed by Silvia, the woman’s brow furrowed. Her expression grew even more awkward, but everyone was waiting expectantly—even Silvia looked like she’d rather hear the story before moving on.
Resigned, the woman took a deep breath and blurted, “So, I just walked past the office next door and saw… Mr. Barlow and Vianne Williamson—they were hugging. And then they kissed.”
