Year Five The Perfect Goodbye Plan novel Chapter 178

After tossing out that remark, Vianne turned on her heel and strode away, leaving Silvia with nothing but the chill of her retreating silhouette.

Silvia watched her go, the corners of her mouth twisting into a faint, sardonic smile.

Honestly, it was almost laughable.

She glanced at the untouched food on the table and began to eat in silence, picking at her meal alone.

When she finally made it home, she waited until nearly eleven at night, but there was still no sign of Kent.

Rubbing her sleepy eyes, Silvia let out a lazy yawn and checked her phone—no messages from Kent, not even a missed call.

A faint crease appeared between her brows, her gaze flickering with uncertainty.

Forget it.

Let him do whatever he wants.

She didn’t really have any right to question where Kent went or what he was doing anymore.

With that thought, Silvia felt a small wave of relief. She headed to her room, planning to wash up and go to bed, but just as she was about to turn in, her phone rang. Kent’s name flashed on the screen.

She answered, but instead of Kent’s voice, a vaguely familiar man greeted her from the other end.

“Hey, Silvia, are you still up?”

She searched her memory for the voice—Geoffrey.

Silvia frowned slightly, her elegant brows knitting together. “Not yet. Is something wrong?”

Geoffrey sounded audibly relieved. “Yeah, sorry to bother you this late. Kent had a bit too much to drink tonight. It set off his stomach—he’s got some internal bleeding. Could you come to the hospital?”

“Of course.”
