Twin Cupids at Work Daddy Come Home novel Chapter 687

Julian had already made every arrangement. Now, both he and Madeline were being wheeled into the operating room at the same time.

He’d reached out to Brenda, Madeline’s closest friend, knowing she would need someone there for her afterward.

Brenda could barely stand still outside the surgical doors. She kept pacing up and down the hallway, still stunned by the call she’d gotten from Julian. The news felt unreal, almost like a bad dream.

She never imagined Madeline’s eyes were hurt this badly. And Julian—donating his corneas to her? That was beyond anything she could have pictured.

Having both truths hit at once, her brain was still buzzing, and everything felt hazy, like she was only half awake.

But if Brenda was frantic, Miles was even worse. He thought Julian’s decision was downright insane.

He didn’t know what to do, so he called Josh and Brady. Maybe they would know how to handle this.

As soon as Josh and Brady heard what was happening, they rushed to the hospital, barely taking time to breathe.

Josh’s eyes were wild with urgency when he grabbed Miles by the arm. “How long have they been inside?”

“Not even ten minutes,” Miles answered, voice tight.

Without hesitation, Josh and Brady hurried straight to the operating room doors.

Brenda saw them charging over. Her expression sharpened as she stretched out her arms to bar their way. “What exactly do you think you’re doing?”

Both guys looked colder than she’d ever seen. Josh’s fists were clenched, his jaw tight. “Move,” he snapped.
