The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 852

Jake stared at Nathan, his eyes clouded with impatience and fatigue. “You’ve already gained a massive advantage,” he said after a long pause. “You should know when to quit.”

“He’s been managing this company for you for years. If I hadn’t ordered him to hand it over, he wouldn’t have done it so cleanly. You have no right to be suspicious.” He paused, his gaze sweeping over Nathan’s tense profile. “Stop overthinking it and just focus on running the company well. That’s more important than anything.”

Nathan’s hands, hanging at his sides, clenched into tight fists, his nails digging into his palms. It seemed that in Jake’s eyes, everything he achieved was only because Alexander allowed it.

He let out a bitter laugh and turned on his heel, storming out of the room.

Bianca watched him go, her eyes welling with tears. “How did it come to this between them?” she whispered, her voice choked with emotion. “They’re brothers. They should be helping each other, but they act like enemies.”

Jake turned to her, his expression instantly hardening, his tone dripping with blame. “If you had been more sensible, would it have come to this? You were always jealous of Heather, and you projected that bias onto Nathan.”

“Alexander is your son. Did you ever once teach him to compromise? How could you expect him to willingly submit to his brother?”

The words struck Bianca like a physical blow. She stared at her husband, her lips parting, but no sound came out. For all these years, she had managed the household, cared for Alexander, and never once imagined that in her husband’s eyes, she was the one to blame for her sons’ feud.

Jake didn’t look at her again. With a cold snort, he too left the living room, leaving Bianca standing alone in the vast, empty space.

Paula Davidson watched her mother’s devastated expression, her lips pressed into a thin line. She walked over and gently placed a hand on her shoulder. “Mom, Dad was just angry. Don’t take it to heart,” she said softly. “Things will calm down after a while.”
