Kirsten curled her lip in a mocking smile. "Who? That woman who acts more like a man than most men?"
Gian glanced at his assistant. "I don't recall making an appointment with her. Did she schedule one?"
The assistant pressed her lips together. "I notified you yesterday, sir. Mr. Davidson from Cloudpath requested a meeting to discuss a possible technical partnership."
Danielle recognized the name instantly. The Davidson Group—one of their subsidiaries handled the aerospace division.
Alexander usually stayed at headquarters and rarely visited Cloudpath.
Only now did Gian recall there'd been some mention of this meeting.
Before he could respond, a group approached, already laughing and chatting among themselves.
"I mean, with Millie's talent, couldn't they have found her a bigger company to collaborate with?" someone joked as they drew closer.
Liam trailed behind, running his mouth as usual.
Millie replied, "Mr. Atwood from Ninesky is Mr. Hawthorne's protégé and a top talent at Blackwood Research Institute. It's an honor to work with him. And meeting the chief designer of the Verdphoenix X7 today? That's a conversation I don't want to miss."
"True," Liam agreed. "Didn't get to see him at the last competition, but today, finally, we get to meet the legend in person."
Millie's gaze landed on Danielle, and she blinked in surprise. "Danielle?"
She hesitated for a moment, unsure if she was seeing right.
Danielle was dressed in a sleek black trench coat, her long, wavy hair pulled back into a low ponytail. She looked striking and composed—cool, poised, and absolutely stunning.
A true head-turner.
"Well, isn't this a surprise! What brings you here?" Millie greeted her with a warm smile.
Liam folded his arms, a smirk curling at his lips. "You're the only one surprised. Isn't she Alex's little shadow? Wherever he goes, she follows, like it's written all over her face."
"Bad news for her, though—Alex isn't here today."
Kirsten scoffed. "What, is Alexander suddenly everyone's dream date now?"
