The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 156

After Alexander left, Danielle walked out of the corridor without looking back.

Gian had already arranged to meet Keegan for a business discussion.

"Where'd you disappear to?" Gian asked, raising an eyebrow as Danielle reentered from outside.

"Just needed some air."

"We should head over," Gian said, already leading the way. "Mr. Clarke is a consummate professional—we can discuss the details."

The press conference venue had a private lounge reserved for VIP guests.

Sentinel Group's new materials had broad applications; if they could strike a deal, it would save them a lot of hassle down the line.

They made their way to the guest lounge.

Inside, Keegan was preparing tea. He looked up as Danielle and Gian entered, offering them a faint, polite smile. "Mr. Atwood, Miss Crawford—please, have a seat."

Once they sat down, there were the usual pleasantries—business talk dressed up as small talk.

"I hear Ninesky is preparing a bid for the government contract," Keegan said, pouring tea and passing the cups to Gian and Danielle.

"That's right," Gian replied with a smile, then introduced Danielle. "This is Danielle—she's heading up the project."

Keegan's expression didn't change. He took a slow sip of his tea, eyes measuring Danielle.

"Perhaps Mr. Atwood is letting something cloud his judgment," Keegan remarked, setting down his cup and refilling Gian's tea.

In truth, he respected Gian—as a rising leader among the younger generation, the man had earned his place.

But Gian's infatuation with Danielle? That he couldn't condone.

The Danielle he knew was a college graduate who stayed home with the kids. How could someone like that be qualified to run a project as important as Ninesky? It was as if Gian was treating the whole thing like a game.

He simply couldn't accept it.

If Gian wanted to bring Danielle along as a companion to various events, Keegan wouldn't care. Personal and professional lives could stay separate.

But introducing her as the project lead? That was reckless—and, frankly, irresponsible.
