The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 640

“Can you please check if all of this takeout is for Mr. Langley?”

What was going on?

At first, Lennox thought the delivery driver had made a mistake. After all, their company had a cafeteria, and even if Callahan wanted to eat, he wouldn't order this much.

Lennox frowned at the delivery driver. “Sir, are you sure this isn’t a mistake?”

The driver double-checked the order. “Nope, it’s correct. The recipient is Mr. Callahan, phone number ending in ****, and this is the address. No mistake.”

Lennox was at a loss for words.

Since it was confirmed that the takeout was indeed for his boss, Lennox could only resign himself to the task of hauling all eighteen orders upstairs.

Eighteen was just too many.

Lennox had to make several trips.

He had just grabbed a few bags and gotten into the elevator when a colleague’s teasing voice reached him.

“Well, well, Lennox, what’s with all the takeout? Is Mr. Langley treating everyone today?”

The finance manager happened to be passing by and also stopped, looking strangely at the bags in Lennox’s hands.

“What’s this, Lennox? Is the executive office having a department party? Why didn’t you invite us?”

Lennox forced a laugh. “I didn’t order this.”

“It’s a personal order for Mr. Langley. I’m not sure about the details.”

Gritting his teeth, Lennox began the arduous task of transporting the food under a barrage of curious gazes.

First trip.

Second trip.

Third trip…

By the time he finally moved the last of the takeout into the elevator, a crowd of employees had gathered around the reception desk, all drawn by the news and eager for some gossip.

“I heard all this takeout is for Mr. Langley. Has his appetite gotten this good lately?”
