Leilani slowly stirred her coffee, taking a calm sip without saying a word.

Eager for more gossip, Judie leaned in closer to Yvonne and lowered her voice. "Is the baby... really your brother's?"

"Probably?" Yvonne didn't agree with many of Tamara's choices, but given how obsessed Tamara had been with her brother for so many years, she wouldn't go as far as pulling a bait-and-switch with another man's child.

"But now he's backed into a corner and has no choice but to accept it," Judie huffed, getting angrier the more she thought about it. She turned to Yvonne. "What about you? Are your parents treating her like royalty again? When are you going to be able to go back home?"

Thinking about how poor Yvonne was practically exiled from her own home while Tamara paraded around the Sherwood estate made Judie feel awful for her best friend. It only deepened her hatred for Tamara.

Yvonne's expression darkened, and she paused her stirring. "Go home? Forget it. Go back and watch them play the happy family? That would absolutely make me sick!"

She gave a mocking smile. "I think I'm better off staying at Leilani's place. At least it's quiet and comfortable."

Even though Milford and Gloria would definitely protect her and never let Tamara bully her if she returned, knowing her father Fitch Sherwood's current temperament, moving back in would be easy, but getting back out would be a nightmare.

Judie sympathetically squeezed her hand. "But still..."

Living under someone else's roof was always a little uncomfortable.

"It's really no big deal," Yvonne interrupted, shrugging with forced lightness. "I've made peace with it. They can stir up whatever drama they want; out of sight, out of mind."

Judie pouted, muttering in frustration. "If this keeps up, Tamara is going to run the entire Sherwood family! What if she uses the baby to cause more trouble and forces your parents to completely disown you?"
