The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1571

“In the future—”

Andrew’s fists clenched at his sides, a hint of color washing over his sharp, handsome face. He refused to meet anyone’s eyes.

“Why are you so nosy? I said be nice to her, so just do it, okay?”

The driver blinked in confusion, his scalp tingling at Andrew’s sudden outburst.

This was Shirley, who didn’t come from wealth, but somehow she’d become close friends with Charlotte. And now even Andrew was stepping in to defend her. There had to be more to this girl than met the eye.

“Yes, Andrew.”

Sensing how important Shirley was, the driver straightened up and nodded fast.

“Use your head for once.”

Andrew waved the cake box in his hand, muttering under his breath before heading off after Shirley and the rest.

The driver watched him go, frowning, still totally lost.

Did he actually see that? Andrew had blushed when he spoke just now.

Shirley’s place was tucked at the very end of a windy alley. There were so many twists and turns along the way.

Back in high school, Charlotte and the others had come here to back Shirley up, and things had even gotten into a fight.

“Charlotte, watch your step!”

Shirley hopped ahead, her high ponytail swinging back and forth. She seemed so fresh and full of life.

“I’m good.”

Charlotte walked with her hands in her pockets, eyes drifting over the alley. The path was narrow and uneven, but all the junk had been cleared away from both sides. Someone had definitely swept up recently.
