The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1577

Half an hour later, a sleek black sports car stopped at the edge of a quiet, shabby street. The door swung open and a pair of long, spotless legs stepped onto the cracked pavement. Anthony emerged, tall and composed in his custom-tailored suit, looking every bit the picture of elegance and power. He seemed completely out of place, like royalty lost in a forgotten alley.

“Are you sure we’re in the right spot?” Hans looked around and couldn’t hide his surprise. He turned to the driver, voice lowered, “You didn’t mess up the directions, right?”

“I… I’ll check.” The driver felt a twinge of anxiety and quickly pulled out his phone to double-check the GPS history.

Everything matched. This was exactly the route his boss had texted him.

Hans glanced at the screen, frowning. It really was correct. Charlotte had sent Anthony the location herself. There was no way it was wrong. He always knew Charlotte’s friend didn’t come from money, but this was even worse than he imagined.

“Anthony, the alley’s too tight for the car. We’ll have to walk for about ten minutes,” Hans reported quietly, stepping behind Anthony out of respect.

“Bring Shirley’s gift,” Anthony said, giving Hans a look, his deep voice steady.

“Yes, Anthony.”

He turned to the rest of his team. Anthony’s dark eyes were cool as he glanced over the group of intimidating bodyguards. “Wait here.”

They had the kind of presence that would scare Shirley’s grandmother for sure.

“Yes, sir,” the bodyguards replied, voices in perfect sync.

Inside, the living room was small, narrow, but clean and bright. Andrew, Parrish, and Stella were all chatting with Shirley and Charlotte. Whatever Andrew said, it made Geneva burst out laughing, the sound filling the whole room.
