The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1349

Nora hesitated, unsure, and looked over at Charlotte.

Charlotte was curled up in Anthony’s arms, a soft smile teasing the corners of her mouth. She only had eyes for Anthony. To her, other men barely existed.

It was obvious Newell liked Charlotte, but he was doing his best to keep those feelings hidden.

Nora couldn’t help but sigh. Sometimes life just messes with you. Some things really are decided from the start.

She knew Newell cared deeply for Charlotte, but in her heart, Charlotte and Anthony were the perfect pair. Nothing could change that.

Meanwhile, at The Hawk Estate, Allanson stood out on the terrace, staring into the sky, looking tired and a little lost.

“Mr. Allanson, I thought you wanted to go back and see G1. Why not reach out to Charlotte?” the butler asked quietly.

G1’s grave was in Cabinda.

Ever since Allanson found out about G1, he hadn’t slept well. He’d wake in the middle of the night, whispering Winnie’s name. After searching for decades, he had to want to see G1 for himself, even if it was just her grave.

“It’s not the right time,” Allanson said, hands clasped behind his back. He looked older than ever, his deep voice heavy with sadness. “Let’s wait a little longer.”

Wait a little longer? Was he hoping to finish the genetic mutation research before going to see G1? The thought made the butler’s heart sink. He really hoped that wasn’t the case.

At seven that evening, The Blair Group’s private jet touched down at Cabinda International Airport.
